How To Make A Big Impact In Business With Your Purpose
The majority of entrepreneurs and even professionals want to make a big impact in business, a bigger difference with the work they do and find their greater purpose as a way of making that big change. This is actually statistically recorded in the Edelman Trust Barometer since 2016 when we reached tipping point on the market desire for a greater purpose in their purchasing decisions.
There comes a time in every business when you need clarity on what, when, where and how to scale. This world mood of scaling up to a greater purpose, I think, is exciting because we have a world of social entrepreneurs (and those in the making) working towards making a bigger difference in the world, which will ultimately lead to a better world through purpose-driven businesses.
How Your Greater Purpose Gives You Clues On How To Make A Big Impact In Business
One of the most effective ways I’ve found to get that clarity of direction is to look to the deeper layers of your Greater purpose. This is because your purpose is evolutionary and all about how you expand. So it stands to reason, if you want to expand your business, you look to where the next level of expansion in your purpose unfoldment.
In the past 5 years, there has been an explosion of life purpose coaching because there’s an explosion in demand due to this big global awakening of people wanting to make that big impact and have a business that fulfills a greater purpose.
That being said there doesn’t seem to be a lot of clarity around the issue of how you integrate your life’s purpose and mission into your business.
What I’ve discovered in my own journey to build a social business based on my life’s purpose and mission, is that…
“There are nitty-gritty details about our true purpose that give us clarity of direction in just about every detail of our business.
From the tasks we focus on to the way we market ourselves and the way we put our monetization model together.”
Whenever new clients come to me with issues in their business, there is very little that can’t be solved by getting greater alignment to these details within your purpose and mission. 99 % of the time something is out of alignment somewhere in the equation.
That’s possible because there’s so much more to understand about our purpose and how it integrates into a business model that can scale, that we’ve barely scratched the surface. Most of the work I’ve investigated on life purpose teach it as a statement, vocation or business idea. So people go about building a business on the surface layer of their purpose and hence they’re operating on only 1 of 6 cylinders.
IE: They know they want a business that makes a difference, or to be a coach or an entrepreneur making a contribution in some way. So they have clarity on the top layer of their purpose, but now there’s a lack of direction as to what their niche is, what offers to put together for that niche, their message, their monetization model, even the way they market themselves.
What I’ve found that has given me, and my clients, huge clarity of direction, is that when you align to all the various hidden elements within your life purpose and mission, you know what to focus on in your marketing so it will work and everything else can fall by the wayside as it’s not in what I call your Mojo Lane, which is where you’ll make the biggest impact.
I call these details your Mission Blueprint because it’s your unique blueprint on the best way to make that impact.
These details within your purpose can also point you in the direction of the right niche you’re here to serve and where you’ll prosper; what message to give them; what offers to offer them; even how to put your monetisation model together so you have leverage, you make a big impact, you affect a lot of transformation, you are passionate about what you do and just as important – you actually get that abundance of financial rewards for your effort.
Things go quiet in your mind as you get very focused in your Mojo Lane because you know what ideas to drop and what to follow; how to put your business model together to scale your biz; how to market yourself; what to say in your marketing.
Getting focused means greater productivity too.
