The majority of prospective new clients and customers come to me saying they feel frustrated because they don’t know what direction to go in with their business. You may even relate to some of this:
- They feel disconnected from their Higher Purpose;
- Don’t know if they’re in the right niche; or
- Targeting the right clients and customers;
- What marketing strategies to focus on;
- Why parts of their business are stuck or stagnating and how to get it moving again;
- What offers to sell or how to build their business model so that it not only makes a difference, it makes them a lot of money too.
There are a myriad of “yes but what’s” and “yes but hows” they don’t have clarity or certainty on. And so they feel lost and even confused because there’s so much advice out there about what to do. Far from helping them gain clarity, all that advice creates more confusion; more work; and has them going around in circles not really making any progress.
Losing Out On Big Results
When you lack certainty of direction in your business it causes you to be hesitant to take action on big decisions that will give you big results. Hesitancy can actually cause you to focus on a whole lot of menial tasks, while you’re waiting for clarity, that won’t get you results, just so you can trick yourself into thinking you’re getting somewhere because at least you’re busy.
Financially things can become stagnant, even stuck, because you’re not doing the right thing at the right time to breakthrough whatever financial glass ceiling is standing between you, and how much money you want to be making.
Losing Out on Joi-De-Vie
So you’re losing potential earnings, you’re losing that sense of certainty, you’re losing the Joi-De-Vie (Joy of Life) that comes with knowing you’re connecting to your purpose, and your business is making a difference in the world.
You may even be losing sleep or worse – your life force, as the stress can drive you into a mild unrecognized depression. Certainly a lack lustre in life that has you not too juiced about getting out of bed in the morning.
Relying on time and luck to give you that clarity and certainty has a high price tag on it that reaches far beyond the money you’re not making, or could be making, while you’re waiting for your big epiphany to miraculously occur.
I could say the high cost of not having certainty and clarity of direction for your business is you loose money. Or that you work extra hard because there’s a magnetism that occurs when you’re on purpose heading in the right direction doing the right thing. I could say the high cost of not getting this lack of certainty solved is that you simply remain unfulfilled and frustrated, waking up heavy in the morning not wanting to get out of bed.
But I think it comes down to this….
The real high cost to lacking certainty of direction in your business is that it shortens your lifespan, and you have a less than satisfactory quality of life. Let me explain.
What Being On My Death Bed Taught Me About Our Purpose
The first time I had cancer (yes I’ve had it twice), while in the depths of despair about having to tell my mother her first born, and only daughter might be dead in 6 months, a little girls’ voice came out deep within me and said.
“But I haven’t done what I came here to do yet. I don’t want to die.”
The searing pain of regret that went through my body was unbearable. It was then that I learned living true to our purpose in life and our working life, was intricately woven into our life force and life span.
You hear this story so many times with cancer survivors, that they found their purpose and that helped them heal. It was certainly that way for me. I made a promise to myself that I would dedicate my working life to fulfilling my purpose and personal life mission and I’ve never looked back.
Waking Up Excited & Passionate About Your Business
Like many other purpose driven business owners, i wake up so excited about getting out of bed and getting on with my day. I can’t wait to do what I love to do. I feel deeply fulfilled and satisfied at the end of each day that I have made a difference. Each year my business has grown, money comes in each week, and large sums of money come in regularly. My business is becoming more profitable while making a global impact. I am supremely happy and I love my business.
Can you say the same thing about your business?
Would you like to be able to say the same things about your business? If you said yes to that then here’s the very critical steps you need to take to turn everything around today! Not sometime in the future – but today!
How Do You Get Certainty Of Direction In 5 Simple Steps
1 – Make a decision to prioritize self discovery.
The answers aren’t in your outer mind. If they were, you’d have them by now. You need to take time to examine your life, your business, your values, you’re motivations, and what really get’s you juiced up, how best to make a difference. When you know all these elements, your purpose becomes clearer and therefore your direction becomes more certain.
Here’s the biggest reason why you want to build your business based on your life’s purpose and mission….
There is detail contained within your purpose that when you align to it, you can not only give you certainty of direction, but it can turn things around for you in as little as 3 weeks. So rather than focus on form (what you’re doing), first focus on foundation – what you’re really here to do.
2 – Back-up your decision with immediate action.
The longer you put things off, the bigger or harder the job becomes when you finally focus on it. Look for self discovery processes or templates and blueprints that will help you figure out your next best steps – what direction to go in.
3 – Make another decision, this time not to do it on your own.
When I realized that wealthy successful business owners were hiring mentors, coaches, consultants to bridge the gaps in their knowledge, I made a decision that I had to do that if I wanted that kind of success too. I’ve never looked back since. You can’t figure this out on your own, you would have by now if you could. Stop using luck and wasting time trying the impossible. Close the gaps in your knowledge fast by bridge them with mentors, coaches, consultants and teachers. If for no other reason than the fact that money loves speed.
4 – Be willing to put skin in the game.
Nothing shows a greater level of commitment than investing focused time and money to get out of being unclear, uncertain, stagnant or stuck, than putting money down for advice and/or focused training. The high level of intent is rewarded with the clarity and certainty that get’s the ball rolling towards that fulfilled life, exciting business, and passionate engagement on a day by day basis as you make more money by making a bigger difference.
5 – Test the viability of your idea
You want to get to market with your idea as quickly as possible, before you go selling anything for two reasons.
- You don’t want to waste your time pursuing a business idea that no one will get or isn’t needed and wanted by the market. So see if you have a market for your idea. If you have a Unicorn Idea that is early to market then you can’t test it so much because you’re paving a way for a new market. But you can sound board with visionaries, friends you trust and who share your values, business intuitives for example.
- When you take action on testing your idea you get feedback that can help give you further clarity and direction for the idea and how to put your business model together.
